Fat

Fat is one of the three main nutrients in food. Fat comes in many forms such as saturated fat, trans unsaturated fats, monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats. Fat mainly composed of fatty acids and there are at least two types of essential fatty acids that can not be produced by the body. Foods that provide fat are butter, margarine, oils, nuts, meat, poultry, fish, and some dairy products. Deposits of excess calories in the body, which gives the body energy reserve supply and other functions. Fat has 9 Calories per gram.

Fat functions for human body

The function of fat for the human body is important to note. Fat serves as the main energy source in addition to protein and carbohydrates needed for the human body. Fat derived from food consumed each day.

Types and Functions Fat

√ Can serve as an ingredient in the preparation process of the sex hormones, cholic acid and bile.

In daily practice, every human being is different to the needs of fat in the body. In accordance with the age and weight of the human body, but in everyday normal people desperately need the fat as much as half to one gram per kilogram of body weight of the human.

Source foods containing fat can be divided into two ;

~ Vegetable fat sources like : avocados, walnuts, sea plants, coconut oil, soybean.
~ Animal fat sources such as milk, eggs, meat and fish.

Above we already know what the function of fat for the human body. So do antipathy toward foods containing fat because it turns our body requires a certain amount of fat.
