Calcium is an important mineral that is most needed man. Calcium helps the formation of bones and teeth and is needed for blood clotting, transmission of signals in nerve cells, and muscle contraction. Calcium helps prevent osteoporosis. Of all the calcium contained in the human body, 99% is located in bones and teeth. Calcium also appears to play a role in lowering blood pressure, and proven to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in post-menopausal women.


Calcium functions for Body

During this time function Calcium is better known as teeth and bone forming agent. However, the function of calcium is more than that.
Calcium is a chemical element symbol ( Ca ). Compared to other minerals, calcium has the highest number in our bodies. Man since in the womb already require this calcium. Calcium can be obtained through calcium source of vegetable and animal sources of calcium.

√ Vegetable sources of calcium :
Legumes, such as soy beans, green beans, and peas ,Cereals of wheat, Greens, Soy milk, Grains, Broccoli, Cowpeas, Fruits, especially jackfruit, raisins, papaya, thorny palm and papaya leaf.

• Sources of calcium animal :
Milk, cheese, yogurt and other dairy products.
Red meat ( salmon, anchovies, tuna,eggs & egg yolk ).
But keep limiting consumption to a source of calcium derived from animal. That's because the animal source of calcium on average have a high protein content which, if consumed excessively can interfere with the absorption of calcium in the body. In addition, the protein content is not balanced with calcium may trigger increased acid (ph) in the blood. It can be concluded that calcium will be wasted and the system works is not optimal.

But calcium also has a negative side, if consumed to excess. Anything? Here's the explanation :
